McSweeney's Kennel is recognized as a superior producer of healthy Golden and Labrador Retriever puppies. We occasionally have an older pup or young adult available, and at times will have stud to approved bitches. We have shown numerous dogs in the Obedience ring, and are fortunate to owner handle dogs all the way to there titles. Including First place, highest score, youngest to receive title. We have also trained and worked with some dogs in Agility, and soon Field. All this does not mean anything unless we have sound temperament and good health. All of our puppies are raised inside the home amongst the family and are well socialized by the time they go to their new homes. Always striving to better the breed, we take our breeding program quite seriously. We only breed dogs that have cleared with OFA, and have no genetic abnormalities.

We make a point of being there for all of our buyers to answer any questions throughout the lifetime of the dog.
We like to maintain contact with our pups throughout the years.


How we began!
Ever since I was a child my favorite animal has been a dog. I always brought home strays, and begged my family for a dog. I knew that when I got older I wanted to breed and train dogs. When the time came, I started looking for a breed that would fit. As I was looking for my dog, I came across the Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever. Both breeds seemed fantastic, and fit my lifestyle perfectly. Shortly after researching these breed I got a Golden Retriever, and named her Heidi. When Heidi’s long, healthy life came to an end I was devastated, and knew it was time to fulfill my life with joy of another dog. That is when I purchased my first Labrador Retriever, I named her Jamie. Soon after owning Jamie I added another Labrador Retriever to my life.
